See what salary you need for a Skilled Worker visa

Search your occupation by name or SOC code. You will see the minimum salary (going rate or general threshold) that usually applies. Data comes from the official GOV.UK occupation list.

What your result means

The figure shown is the minimum salary you usually need for that occupation under Skilled Worker rules. Your employer must pay at least this amount unless you qualify for a lower new entrant threshold.

You must be paid the higher of the occupation going rate (from the Home Office appendix) or the general salary threshold (£41,700 standard / £33,400 new entrant as of 2026). Immigration Salary List roles may have different rules.
