Where does the data come from?
- The Home Office register of licensed sponsors, the public list of organisations licensed to sponsor workers, published on GOV.UK under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We copy it every day.
- Companies House company records, matched to register entries where we can match them, for company status, filings and industry codes.
- GOV.UK Skilled Worker guidance for the eligible occupation codes, going rates and salary thresholds, each shown with the date it was last checked.
- Job advertsfrom NHS Jobs, employers’ own published job feeds and the Adzuna job search API. An advert is listed only when its employer matches an organisation on the register.
How often is it updated?
The sponsor register is re-read every week, and additions and removals are dated from the day they first appear in or leave our copy. Job adverts are refreshed from their sources on a rolling schedule, and NHS adverts are shown until their closing date. Salary thresholds and going rates are re-checked against GOV.UK when the rules change, and every page that quotes them shows the check date.
Editorial policy
We publish facts about published data: what the register lists, what GOV.UK states, and arithmetic such as comparing an advertised salary with a published threshold. We do not give immigration advice and do not reach conclusions about any individual’s immigration position; we are not regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority. A sponsor licence is a fact about an employer, never a statement that a particular vacancy comes with a Certificate of Sponsorship. Employers cannot pay to change their Hiring Likelihood Score. Corrections go to support@skilledjobs.com; errors in the register itself are for the Home Office to correct.

SkilledJobs combines the UK Home Office sponsor register (copied weekly, Open Government Licence), Companies House enrichment where we can match employers, and job adverts from NHS Jobs, employer feeds and Adzuna as a hiring signal. SOC codes and salary thresholds come from the official GOV.UK Skilled Worker occupations appendix.
Hiring Likelihood Score (0–100)
The score is built from public signals — not a guarantee of sponsorship. Components include:
- Sponsor licence rating: Home Office A-rated sponsors score on this signal; other ratings do not.
- Time on the sponsor register: Longer-established sponsors score higher based on first appearance on the register.
- Recent Companies House accounts: Filed accounts within the last 12 months suggest active corporate compliance.
- Confirmation statement: A current confirmation statement indicates the company is maintaining CH records.
- Active job listings: Open roles on Adzuna suggest the employer may be hiring now.
- Recent director appointments: New directors in the last 12 months can signal organisational growth.
