How is the Immigration Skills Charge worked out?
GOV.UK charges £480 for the first 12 months and £240 for each further 6 months for small or charitable sponsors, and £1,320 and £660 for medium or large sponsors. A period longer than 6 months but under a year pays for 12 months. The full charge is paid when the certificate is assigned, for the period on the certificate, up to 5 years. It applies to workers applying from outside the UK for 6 months or more and to workers applying from inside the UK for any length of time. GOV.UK refunds it in full if the visa is refused or the worker does not come to work for you.
