Accessibility statement
We want everyone who is looking for work in the UK to be able to use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement describes what we do, what we know is not yet right, and how to reach us.
What we aim for
SkilledJobs is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means: every page works with a keyboard alone; interactive controls are at least 24 pixels and primary controls at least 44; focus is always visible and never hidden behind sticky bars; job cards are single links with a separate Save control; filters are real checkboxes inside labelled groups; result counts are announced to screen readers when filters change; text can be resized to 200% without loss; and no information is conveyed by colour alone, including the salary-threshold verdict on every job card, which is always written out.
Known issues
- Job listings are supplied by a third party; some employer-written titles use capitals or symbols that screen readers may pronounce oddly. We do not alter employer text.
- Charts and maps on guide pages carry text alternatives, but some older guidance articles have images with generic alt text. We are working through them.
- The site does not yet offer a dark colour scheme.
